The Cash Accounting and Control (CAC) Specialist performs, supports, and ensures accurate and timely cash account reconciliations in accordance with our policy and procedure and GAAP. This position will have performed company bank reconciliations for at least one year, or have commensurate experience. Under supervision, the CAC Specialist performs monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations, assists in gathering information necessary to perform the reconciliations, and works closely with teammates to recognize and report operational issues. The CAC Specialist supports the department to ensure process control and compliance, delivers high level customer service, and responds timely to field and Corporate inquiries. The CAC Specialist will assist teammates and management in building creative solutions to data and timing issues to meet deadlines for completing reconciliations and resolving reconciling items. All CAC staff members are expected to foster a positive and productive work environment. This staff member will complete special projects and other duties as requested to support the needs of the organization.

Education, Training and Years of Experience: - Accounting degree preferred, but not required. - 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or banking experience is required, preferably with cash reconciliations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong computer skills in Excel, Access and other MS Office products. - Prefer PeopleSoft experience. Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer. Physical Requirements: - Good visual acuity and ability to communicate. - Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
