The Inpatient Staff Accountant is an entry level position that performs general ledger accounting for 10 +/- hospitals including analytical review of operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and acting as primary contact for hospital controllers. Reports to accounting supervisor.

License or Certification: - None, recognition of importance of obtaining CPA a plus Education, Training and Years of Experience: - College Degree with Accounting Major - One to two years of accounting or auditing experience - Working experience of Microsoft Office Products Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer. Physical Requirements: - Good visual acuity and ability to communicate. - Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements. Skills and Abilities: - Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively. - Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. - Ability to work independently without supervision.
