Job Description

The Inclusion and Diversity Specialist serves within the company's Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) department supporting the execution of the company's vision, strategy, and action plan for inclusion and diversity. Under the direction of the I&D Manager, the incumbent focuses on internal and external responsibilities for managing specific initiatives that support the company's strategy to achieve measurable outcomes that integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into the organization's overarching goals for workforce development, supplier diversity, patient experience, and community partnerships.

License or Certification:
- SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred. 
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of comparable work experience in inclusion and diversity
- Three years of related experience in program development or management within inclusion and diversity, human resources, or another related area
- Technologically savvy and has demonstrated excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excel experience is a plus
- Demonstrated skill to interpret and draw inferences from quantitative data
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
- Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements: 
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 15 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling exceeds these minimum requirements.
Skills and Abilities: 
- Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
- Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Demonstrated skill to interpret and draw inferences from quantitative data
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction as needed in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to problem-solve, be resourceful, and exercise good judgment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- High degree of discretion and experience working with privileged, confidential information

Proficiency or Productivity Standards: 
- Has regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
