The Regional VP, Human Resources provides consultative support and resources to the Regional President, other members of the Regional Management Team, and to all hospitals within the Southeast region. The position is also responsible for helping to create an environment and culture that enables hospitals to fulfill the mission by meeting or exceeding goals, conveying the organization's mission to staff, holding staff accountable for performance, and motivating staff to improve performance.  This position will be located in the SE regional office in Land O'Lake, FL.

License or Certification: - None. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred. Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience: - Bachelors Degree or 10 years experience. - Minimum five years progressively responsible experience as a generalist and manager, including experience providing services to multiple locations. - Must have a working knowledge of state and federal employment law. - Proficiency with computer systems, including work processing and spreadsheets. - Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. - Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. - Attention to detail. Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer. Physical Requirements: - Good visual acuity and ability to communicate. - Ability to lift and push/pull a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements. - Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking. Skills and Abilities: - Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to communicate well with staff at all levels of the internal and external hospital community - Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. - Ability to work independently without supervision. - Ability to travel to hospitals within region as needed. Environmental Conditions: - Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure. - Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required. - Handicapped accessible. - May work under stressful circumstances at times. Proficiency or Productivity Standards: - Meets established attendance standards. - Adheres to hospital/department dress code including wearing ID badge. - May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and or night shifts if needed to meet deadlines. - May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts. - Will be required to work as necessary during disaster situations, i.e., before, during or after a disaster. - May be required to stay after workday to assist after a disaster situation until relief arrives. - May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
