Job Description:

The Business Analytics Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting analyses and creating reports to monitor the financial performance for our Home Office Treasury and Risk Management departments, and to maintain financial applications and data analysis tools in support of multiple business divisions within the company.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Builds collaborative relationships and provides analytical support for various departments within the company (Treasury, Risk Management, Business Development, Design & Construction, Tax, Operations, Human Resources, Accounting, etc.).
  • Facilitates the monthly financial control process for the company’s Risk Management function.
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets and databases and communicates, in verbal and written form, the results of analyses to management. These analyses may be both recurring and ad-hoc in nature.
  • Works with financial models to track and forecast financial performance, and assists in testing and validating inputs used in proforma analyses.
  • Develops and maintains new reporting applications in order to provide reliable tools for business intelligence and strategic analysis.
  • Uses existing data applications (Hyperion, data warehouse, SQL server, and other relational databases) to perform ad-hoc studies.
  • Tracks corporate investment returns to ensure results are commensurate with the risks incurred.
  • Performs peer company analyses to review and report pertinent information within the healthcare services industry.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of financial and/or accounting work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow concepts.
  • Working knowledge of finance and spreadsheet applications.

Machines, Equipment Used:

  • General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
  • Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 15 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling exceeds these minimum requirements.
