The Central Supply Clerk performs a variety of clerical duties associated with the supply management, provides a centralized distribution location, oversees all shipping and receiving, and maintains appropriate inventory in accordance with hospital procedures, and maintains control of supplies and equipment for all hospital departments.

Receives all medical and clinical supplies and documents appropriately.
Daily use of Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Maintains a daily rental equipment log.
Participates in and performs a physical inventory as required by hospital policy.
Ensures that the therapy/nursing storage rooms and carts are stocked appropriately.
Orders medical and clinical supplies for the hospital. Maintains appropriate level of inventory at all times.
Forwards all invoices to accounts payable for timely processing.
Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments.
Meets position requirements and performs essential functions.
Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date.
Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints or harassment immediately. Performs other duties as assigned.

License or Certification: - None required. Education, Training and Years of Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - 1 year of hospital supply management/distribution preferred. Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer. Physical Requirements: - Good visual acuity and ability to communicate. - Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
