Supply Chain and Development Project Manager

Job Description

Position Purpose:

The SCO and Development Project Manager is responsible for supporting the hospitals in both Development activities and daily supply chain tasks. The position oversees the equipment and furniture budgeting, layout, ordering, installation, contracting, and education for development projects. This role works with suppliers, contractors and architects to coordinate the design, procurement and install of projects. This role manages the development templates, equipment standards, and project costing and oversees the project closeout process. This position also assists existing hospitals with daily questions, issues, and training related to purchasing. The Project Manager creates best practice reporting and process improvement projects using analytics experience to guide hospitals to cost savings opportunities. 

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Facilitates and resolves hospital related issues regarding purchasing, suppliers or contracts.
  • Trains hospital personnel on SmartSystem, SharePoint, Beacon, and CER use.
  • Trains hospital staff on ordering, receiving, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Creates and trains on new system functionality.
  • Oversees the equipment and furniture budgeting, layout, ordering, installation, contracting, and education for development projects.
  • Communicates with hospitals and SCO co-workers/subject matter experts on best practices regarding ordering, product usage or any other issues.
  • Creates and manages Operational Assessment Reports to identify opportunity and track progress towards hospital achieving that opportunity.
  • Manages the development templates, equipment standards, and project costing and oversees the project closeout process.
  • Navigates internet and intranet applications including SharePoint.

***Position must sit in Birmingham, AL and offers a hybrid schedule

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of healthcare/purchasing experience
