Responsibilities

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a visionary leader who knows how to effectively drive change in a national environment. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for managing all human resources functions, including Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Relations, Shared Services, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards. This position directs the development and consistent implementation of human resources policies and practices.

 

As a member of the senior administrative staff, the CHRO participates in strategic planning and the attainment of the organization’s goals. This individual must possess strong analytical and relationship-building skills and will be expected to develop vision and agenda for system-wide innovative organizational improvement. This role interfaces with senior leadership and front-line team members, executes organizational development strategy and drives change initiatives across the system in order to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. The person in this role is a dynamic and accomplished health care executive who not only can lead the human resources functions of the organization but work with the executive team and Board to put the collective priorities and needs of the larger organization ahead of one’s own department.

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience (ESSENTIAL):

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a human resources expertise role
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Must have significant experience reporting information to a Board of Directors for a publicly traded company

Education and Experience (DESIRED):

  • SPHR or SHMR-SCP certification is preferred
  • Master's in Business Administration is preferred
  • Previous experience in a home health or hospice recruiting or talent acquisition program is preferred

  • Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.

  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
  • Has regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Adheres to dress code including wearing ID badge.
  • Adheres to Standards of Business Conduct.
  • May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
