The National Director of Compliance & Privacy works closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to oversee the Company's privacy and compliance programs within the Ethics & Compliance Department.


This position will be integrally involved with all aspects of the company’s ethics & compliance program and will play a key role to ensure that the company operates an effective compliance and privacy program, consistent with OIG guidance and with HIPAA / HITECH compliance. The National Director will also conduct investigations on allegations of violations of privacy and compliance regulations and will review guidance on regulations.


  • Conduct investigations of allegations of violations of privacy, compliance, regulatory requirements, and the standards of business ethics and conduct.
  • Oversee privacy risk assessment program; provide a final analysis of each substantiated privacy violation, and determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Provide reports to executive leadership on company risks related to compliance and privacy violations.
  • Ensure that the company establishes a program of compliance with patient non-discrimination regulations; consistent with Section 1557.
  • Act as the patient civil rights coordinator for the company.
  • Ensure that the company evenly applies all disciplinary actions that result from findings of non compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all required ethics and compliance department reporting; provide to the board of directors and executive compliance committee.
  • Manage updates to all compliance and privacy policies; standards of business ethics and conduct.
  • Co-coordinate all privacy and security activities related to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) data breaches.
  • Oversee the annual incident response exercise; manage incident response plan from a privacy standpoint.


  • A graduate degree in healthcare administration or law degree is required.
  • Three years experience in healthcare compliance, healthcare privacy, or reviewing or interpreting healthcare regulations is required.
  • Professional certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) or healthcare privacy (CHPC) is preferred.
